Advance seat reservation: Switch to mono-coupon EMDs
Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS are switching from multi-coupon EMDs to mono-coupon EMDs for advance seat reservations (ASR). In the future, a separate EMD (mono-coupon) will be issued for each segment when booking chargeable seats.


Advance seat reservations on codeshare flights with Croatia Airlines, SAS and Air Canada
The Lufthansa Group airlines are expanding the existing ASR EMD interlining. You can now book seats on Croatia Airlines flights as well as on codeshare flights between Croatia Airlines and Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS. Further ASR EMD interlinings (with SAS and Air Canada) will follow in the coming weeks.


Traveling with children: what you should bear in mind
Whether at the airport or on board: the Lufthansa Group airlines have the travel wishes of all ages at heart. For children under 12 years old, the care service for unaccompanied children (UMNR) must not only be booked if they are traveling alone, but also if parents and children are traveling on the same flight in different classes of service.

The Lufthansa Group airlines online booking platform for travel agents – Lufthansa Group agent.com – will be discontinued as of 31 May 2023. At this time, you will no longer have access to the login pages, your user profile, PNRs and tickets. Ticketing of all PNRs must therefore take place by 30 May 2023 at the latest.


Hello A380, hello Bangkok and Los Angeles!
Lufthansa is launching new Airbus A380 destinations from Munich in the coming winter. Starting 5 October 2023, the world‘s largest passenger aircraft will be flying again daily to the Californian metropolis of Los Angeles. Starting 28 October 2023, the Lufthansa Airbus A380 will take off for Bangkok for the first time, expanding seat capacity to the Thai capital by nearly 75 percent compared to the A350.


Austrian Airlines to fly with Boeing 787-9 ‘Dreamliner’
Your customers will soon be able to enjoy enhanced comfort thanks to an innovative cabin concept on Austrian Airlines. The first ‘Dreamliner’ will take off from Vienna as early as summer 2024. By 2028, nine more Boeing 787-9s are expected to gradually replace the current Austrian long-haul jets of the 777 and 767 family.


SWISS to increase long-haul services in 2023/2024 winter schedule
SWISS will be expanding its range of long-haul services in the coming winter schedule to offer its customers even more attractive travel options. For example, SWISS is increasing the number of weekly flights to Miami, Shanghai, Singapore and Cairo. In total, SWISS will be taking off to 21 long-haul destinations in winter 2023/2024.
