BOOKING PROCEDURES
FOR IRREGULARITY & SCHEDULE CHANGE SITUATIONS
LATEST UPDATE – Consult the TAP PORTUGAL priorities to offer passengers in case of IROP situations, as well as interline agreements for Passenger Protection on Schedule Change scenarios, between TAP AIR PORTUGAL and other partners, which bookings must be made on same class or lowest available class and in same cabin.

AZ (ITA Airways) Travel date and Reissuances must be made between 08MAR23 and 31OCT23. S4 (Azores Airlines) Travel date and Reissuances must be made between 20FEB23 and 31OCT23. NT (Binter Canarias) Travel date and Reissuances must be made between 20FEB23 and 31OCT23. AD (Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras) Travel Date must be between 25JAN23 and 31MAR24 and Reissuances must be made until 30SEP23. LH (Lufthansa) / LX (Swiss International Airlines) / OS (Austrian Airlines) / SN (Brussels Airlines) Travel Date and Reissuances must be made between 27OCT22 and 31OCT23. G3 (Gol Linhas Aéreas) Travel Date and Reissuances must be made until 15NOV23. LO (Polish Airlines) Travel Date and Reissuances must be made until 15NOV23. AF (Air France) Travel Date and Reissuances must be made between 25NOV22 and 31OCT23. KL (KLM ROYAL DUTCH AIRLINES) Travel Date and Reissuances must be made between 25NOV22 and 31OCT23. LA (LATAM AIRLINES GROUP) Travel Date and Reissuances must be made between 05DEC22 and 31MAY24 (Only on LA Flight Number Operated by LA and/or JJ).

When a TAP AIR PORTUGAL passenger is involuntary inhibited of using fights (status UN / TK***), he had originally purchased on his ticket, and due to this irregularity situation (ex: weather conditions, labour strikes, operational cancellations, Schedule changes, etc.…), it is necessary to protect him on other flights, please see below TAP AIR PORTUGAL Passenger Protection Procedures, applicable to all TAP agents, Handling Agents, GSAs and Travel Agencies.
We also remind you that for exceptional serious irregularity situations which can have a bigger impact on TAP AIR PORTUGAL operation, special Procedures will be published by Ticket Office and will override procedures published in this newsletter.
***Situations of Change of Flight Number or Booking Class (RBD) Alignment are not covered by procedures below. |

(Cancelation Date / Original Flight Date / New Flight Date must be on same Day as Original Flight or until the End of Next Day).
Example: Flight TP202 operates on 12DEC22 and cancels on 11DEC22, and it is possible to protect passenger and reissue ticket on 12DEC22.

(Data do Cancelamento / Data do Voo Cancelado / Data do Novo Voo deve ser a partir do 3º dia do calendário).
Example: Flight TP202 operates on 12DEC22 and cancels 11DEC22 but it is only possible to protect passenger on 13DEC22.

*Protections with Interline within 24 Hours before schedule flights, and since a wider range of airlines are available, please always check interline agreement existence before any booking is made (ex: TGAD-TP/AZ). In Case of TAP Marketing flights, the previous entry should be used between TAP and the Operating Airline. **Please mind that protections with Interline more than 24 hours before schedule flight are only authorized with partners below.
