Dear Valued Agency Partners,
  1. On 21 Aug 2023, Singapore Airlines (SIA) enabled cross-sale of paid seat selection with sectors operated by the Lufthansa Group (LHG), which comprises of Lufthansa (LH), Swiss (LX), Austrian (OS) and Brussels Airlines (SN). This is done on a unilateral basis, which enabled the 4 airlines to sell seats and issue EMDs on SQ-operated flights, but not vice versa.
  2. From 07 November 2023 1500hrs (GMT+8), mutual paid seat selection between SQ and LH airline on SQ channels (SAA, NDC, ARDw) will be enabled.
      1. ● With this activation, trade partners booking itineraries with LH-operated flights on SIA’s website, NDC channels and AROs can also book and pay for seats on these LH flights and will be issued an SQ EMD receipt for the sale.
      1. ● Mutual i-EMD sales with LX, SN, OS will be planned for on a separate timeline.
  3. FAQ

    3.1 What seat types are available for sale under i-EMD?

    All complimentary seats (largely in First/Business Class on LH-operated flights) are already available for selection today. With i-EMD in effect, chargeable seats (comprising most economy/premium economy seats) will also be available for selection on LH-operated flights.

    3.2 Will there be KF discounts applied to these chargeable seats?

    Existing KF discounts will continue to apply only on SQ-operated flights, but not on seats sold on LH-operated sectors. KF benefits and discounts will apply on the SQ-operated segments only if the KF number is present at the point of seat selection.
