JKT/21/011
16 April 2021
Dear Valued Agency Partners,
Suspension of carriage of transit passengers from Singapore to Hong Kong
- From 17 April 2021 until further notice, Singapore Airlines (SIA) will stop carrying transit passengers on our services from Singapore to Hong Kong due to new regulatory requirements in Hong Kong. Services from Hong Kong to Singapore remain unaffected, and passengers originating from Hong Kong will be allowed to transfer through Singapore Changi Airport en-route to their final destinations.
- Please reach out to your affected passengers to offer necessary assistance.
For transit passengers not departing from Singapore, on a connecting SIA flight to Hong Kong, please process full refund of the utilised portion(s) of their tickets, with cancellation fees waived. The refund will be processed according to the original mode of payment. Please insert this circular number JKT21011 as approval code in Refund Advice (RA).
For non-transit passengers departing from Singapore, on a direct SIA flight to Hong Kong, their travels are not affected. However, they must ensure they meet all requirement including a valid COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test certificate.
- Kindly inform your staff and customers accordingly. Should you have any further queries, please refer to your Account Manager.
