REMIND AGENCY IATA BASE COMMISSION EFFECTIVE 01 SEP 2023

                                                              IATA BASE COMMISSION

EFFECTIVE 01 SEPTEMBER 2023

Dear Trade Partner,

We’d like to remind you on changes Qantas is making to our standard travel agency commission in Indonesia.

Effective from 1 September 2023, all tickets that commence, and are booked and issued on ‘081’ ticket stock in Indonesia and/or is settled through Indonesia BSP will earn the following:

  • Published fare with purely Australia domestic sector 0%;
  • Published fare with purely Australia to/from New Zealand sector 0%;
  • Published fare with all routing except for the above-mentioned sectors 5%;
  • Please note that the above commissions are only applicable for published fares that commenced, booked and issued in Indonesia.

This change to our commission structure is in line with global trends which show that many travel agents around the world have adopted a “fee for service” model. Our agency partners have a key role to play and deserve to be remunerated by their customers for the added value, exceptional knowledge and bespoke service they provide.

To remain competitive, we continue to look for new ways to reward agents for their role in supporting our mutual customers, and are committed to investing in new technology to modernise the way agents can sell and service their bookings. These new technologies will allow us to create new revenue opportunities for agents that are currently not available through the traditional booking systems.

Kindly disseminate this information to all staff at related departments and your branches.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Qantas. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Qantas Sales team.

Thanks & Regards
