TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS – India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, and Philippines

Dear Trade Partner,

 

Effective 29 April 2021, Qatar Ministry of Health has mandated strict implementation of the following changes to travel policy for incoming travelers from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, and Philippines; this includes those who transit through other countries but whose original flight is from any of the aforementioned 6 countries (e.g. Pakistan – Kuwait – Doha):

 

PCR Requirement for passengers travelling on Qatar Airways

  1. All passengers including one having transit in Doha whose original flight is from the said countries (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, and Philippines) are subject to mandatory COVID-19 PCR Test done 48 hours before departure from the testing centers approved by local health authority.
  2. Passenger also need to fulfill final destination travel and COVID testing requirement (if any).

 

Mandatory Quarantine for incoming travelers from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, and Philippines with final destination Doha:

 

  1. All passengers from the said countries must undergo 10 days quarantine in a dedicated quarantine facility, or 14 days if quarantine is at Mekhaines facility, regardless of previous vaccination or immunity against COVID-19.
  2. Regarding vaccinated travelers that may require hotel booking upon arrival to HIA, DQ will accommodate them within the existing offer of 7 days.
  3. All of the established criteria for hotel/home quarantine exemptions DO NOT APPLY to travelers from the said countries.
