Wholly unused tickets issued May 1, 2019 – Dec. 31, 2022 expire on Dec. 31, 2023. These tickets must be exchanged and travel must begin by Dec 31, 2023. The return travel can be after Dec. 31, 2023 as long as the outbound travel begins on/before Dec. 31, 2023. We are not extending ticket validity or making exceptions for these tickets.
Tickets can no longer be converted to ETC. Additionally, and effective immediately, refunds to the original form-of-payment or ETC are not allowed for tickets expiring on Dec. 31, 2023.

This applies to all tickets, regardless of point-of-sale. Please also note that the original ticket-issue date always determines the validity/expiration of a wholly unused ticket. Even if a ticket has been exchanged, the original ticket-issue date still determines the ticket validity.
Effective January 01, 2024, United will implement US$ 50 agency memo service fee per memo. This fee is in addition to memo amount and applies to debit memos and credit memos.
