Effective 20 January 2018, SIA and SilkAir will be introducing new fare types to offer clearer choices to suit different travel needs. Each fare type offers a unique combination of fares, flexibility, baggage allowance, advance seat selection, Krisflyer mileage accrual and redemption upgrades.
Highlight of Changes :
1. Advance seat selection fee will be applicable for “Lite” Fare in economy class for standard seat selection.
2. Paid advance seat selection to be done only on www.singaporeair.com or www.silkair.com
3. Baggage allowance for Y,B,E classes increased by 5kg.
4. No change to piece concept baggage allowance.
5. U class will have change fees applied.
6. D class will be non-refundable and not eligible for redemption upgrade.
7. D class will not allow No Show.
8. P class will be not be eligible for redemption upgrade.
9. M,H,W class will be eligible for redemption upgrade.
10. Elaborate on “Lite Fares”, which are D (Business) and Q,N,V,K (Economy Class).
11. Changes to no show fee apply.
12. Changes to mileage accrual apply.
Additional Info :
1. New Condition and seat selection fee will apply to all tickets issued on/after 20 January 2018.
2. Seat Selection made by ticketed passengers will be retained post cutover.
3. Reissuance of totally unused ticket will also apply new condition.
4. Issue ticket before 20 January 2018 to retain original conditions and seat selection.
