SQ NEWS – UPDATE 1 TO JKT20029 TRAVELLERS ENTERING OR TRANSITING SINGAPORE FROM INDONESIA REQUIRED TO HAVE COVID-19 PCR NEGATIVE TEST

Dear Valued Agency Partners,

 

  1. From 29 May 2021, 2359 hours, all travellers from Indonesia including Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents, who are entering or transiting/transferring, through Singapore will be required to take a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test within 72 hours before their departure to Singapore. Travellers will need to present a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test result as a condition of approval to enter or transfer through Singapore. This requirement will take effect for those arriving in or transferring through Singapore from 29 May 2021, 2359 hours.

 

  1. The test result memo must be in English, and state the following:

 

(a) the negative test result;

(b) the date that the test was taken; and

(c) the name, passport number, date of birth, National Identity Number and nationality of the traveller as indicated in his/her passport.

 

  1. The test result memo must be issued by an internationally accredited or recognised laboratory, clinic or medical facility specified on the Internet website of the Singapore Ministry of Health at https://www.moh.gov.sg/covid-19/accreditation-bodies-for-covid-19-testing or Indonesian Ministry of Health at http://www.litbang.kemkes.go.id/laboratorium-pemeriksa-covid-19/.

 

  1. The above requirement is not applicable to minors aged 06 or below.

 

  1. Eligible travellers from Indonesia entering Singapore will still be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival in Singapore, serve a 21-days Stay-Home Notice (SHN) at dedicated SHN facilities and to take a COVID-19 PCR test before the end of their SHN as per current requirements.

 

  1. Please disseminate this information to your front-liners, sub-agents as well as relevant department and inform the impacted customers.

 

  1. Please always refer to the relevant Government websites for the latest updates on travel requirements for travel to or transiting through Singapore as well as to your final destination.
