Effective January 13, all passengers entering Japan will be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to departure (including Japanese nationals). New rules will be in effect until the state of emergency is lifted.

Transit passengers at Tokyo (NRT & HND) are exempted from this restriction (no negative COVID-19 PCR test required).
